PhotoHelp 101 is a labor of love for Robert La Follette and John Jacobsen. Web 2.0 has been very good to both Robert and John and they decided to give back to the community in the form of something they are both very good at - teaching photography fundamentals.

As a result of their instructing experience at the Perfect Picture School of Photography, Robert and John both have the unique ability to connect with students and relay even the most complex photography subjects in terms that are easily understandable.

After doing some research, they quickly found that there are very few online resources available to photographers. Realizing the need, Robert and John set to work creating PhotoHelp 101.

Since 1989, Robert La Follette has been working as a graphic designer and photographer. His photos have won numerous awards and have appeared in Shutterbug Magazine, Informant Guest and Creation Magazine. La Follette is also a contributing writer and photographer for Florida Wildlife Magazine.

Author and photographer of "Tampa Bay: A Photographic Portrait", this coffee-table style book is one of the best selling books in the Tampa Bay area that showcases the regions beauty though photography. Robert was also awarded "Best of Show" at the Boyd Hill Nature Photography Contest in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has also been featured on "i On Tampa Bay" for PAX TV.

Robert's photography also appears around Tampa Bay, most notably with the Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, where his images showcases the beauty and attractions that make Tampa Bay a world-renowned vacation destination. Robert also teaches creative photography online and personal workshops around Tampa Bay.

Along with John, Robert teaches an online photography course at Bryan Peterson's Perfect Picture School of Photography where he teaches an extensive and exciting 8-week course on the "Must Know" Fundamentals of Composition. From the simple to the most puzzling and complex compositions, Robert will help you "see" the compositions that lie before you, as you look through your viewfinder each and every time. No matter if it is a beautiful landscape, cityscape, close-up, motion, wide angle or macro, all of the tools you will need to reveal that puzzle as a complete image will be revealed to you in this 8 week course.

Robert lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife, Dawn, whom he has been happily married for over 18 years.

John Jacobsen is an accomplished photographer in Florida who has been assisting Robert La Follette for nearly two years. In addition to assisting Robert, John has had his photographs used by several regional companies for their marketing campaigns. John also stays quite busy photographing real estate listings for Florida based realtors. These photographs are used to create a winning image for high end listings in the tough Florida real estate market. Along with Robert, John is active on the workshop and lecture circuit teaching the fundamentals of composition and correct exposure to students of all skill levels. John has the unique ability to explain complex subject matter in terms that students can easily grasp.

John is an instructor at the Perfect Picture School of Photography, assisting Robert teach the popular Fundamentals of Composition class and the all new Wildlife Photography 101 class.
